Golf - Only three days to qualify for the golf course - perfect golfing in the "Salzburg Sportwelt".

It usually takes a very long time until golf rookies qualify to play on a course. At the golf club in Radstadt things are different... here it only takes a 3-day "Pro Golf Camp" basic training to qualify for the Par-3 9-hole golf course. This is the perfect course for beginners to practise and to experience the true fascination of this exciting sport.

More importantly, the 18-hole course on foot of the Dachstein massif has become a popular destination for golf fans, mainly because of a unique feature: the "Birdie Jet" gondola ropeway from the 11th to the 12th hole. And at hole 13 golfers can enjoy a marvellous vista of the whole golf course.

Additionally the Radstadt golf club features a 250 m driving range, roof-covered tee-offs, practice bunkers, pitching and putting greens, and a pro shop with gear rental. The golf school, headed by German golf champ Karl-Heinz Ggele, offers customized golf instructions.

    Cycling

Some say that cycling is mobility in its most beautiful form; others think it is an unnecessary strain. However, the eight resorts of the "Salzburg Sportwelt" have created an extensive bicycle trail network which satisfies both casual cyclists and ambitious mountain bikers.

In recent years cycling has become one of the most popular holiday activities. Those who want to explore higher alpine regions on bike need a strong stamina. But they will be rewarded with a hearty meal at a cosy snack station, such as the "Sattelbauer". In order to help you choose the proper cycling trail the eight "Sportwelt" resorts (Flachau, Wagrain, St. Johann-Alpendorf, Radstadt, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Kleinarl, Eben und Filzmoos) have published detailed maps of the 500 km of bicycle trails. The highlight is surely the 250 km long Enns cycling trail, one of Austria's most beautiful bicycle routes along a river. For those who like it a bit more leisurely we recommend the Tauern cycling trail along Salzach river.
